Description

Prosopagnosia (facial agnosia) is the perception disorder of the face which lost the ability to recognize faces, but preserved ability to recognize people and objects in General.

It occurs in lesions of the right lower occipital region, often with spreading of the adjacent departments of the temporal lobe and parietal lobe.

Is caused by trauma, tumor growth, vascular disorders, and may take the form of genetic diseases.
