The Lone Gunmen call Mulder and Scully to a virtual reality development lab where they learn that one of the program testers was killed inside the computer generated game environment by the digital image of a woman. Needing to get his yah-yah's, Mulder enters the game to fight the woman, but Scully must step in to save him.

Description

"First Person Shooter" is the thirteenth episode of the seventh season of the TV series "The X–Files". The episode belongs to the "monster of the week" type and is not related to the main "mythology" of the series.

Plot

The Lone Gunmen summon Mulder and Scully to the office of a video game company due to the fact that a virtual reality game they helped develop is being taken over by a strange female character whose power extends to the real world.

Poltergeist

A computer program that implements a sexy female image spontaneously penetrates into the machine code of another program (computer game) and begins to act in it, harming players. It manifests itself in the image of a sexually dressed girl who kills one player with a shot from an old silicon pistol, and cuts another into pieces with an ancient sword. After the game is turned off, the girl disappears, but the damage to the players remains in reality.

Parallel world

A computer program that implements a sexy female image spontaneously penetrates into the machine code of another program (computer game). As a result, locations appear in the game that were not laid by its creators. People trapped in one of these locations disappear from the real world for a while when the game is turned off.
