Sein Und Zeit (1)

"Sein und Zeit" and "The Ending" (English "Closure") are, respectively, the tenth and eleventh episodes of the seventh season of the series "The X–Files". The episodes continue the so-called "mythology" of the series, set in the pilot series.

Closure is a term in psychology that has meanings such as willingness to come to terms with the past, a sense of reconciliation with loss, completeness; as the title of an episode, it may indicate the end of a significant part of the plot.

Episode 10 Mulder becomes obsessed with the disappearance of several children, discovered during the investigation of the strange abduction of a little girl from her own home.

Scully suspects that he is emotionally involved in this case because of its similarity to the case of Fox's sister's disappearance 27 years ago. Her anxiety increases when Mulder's mother dies, possibly as a result of suicide.

Episode 11 Mulder is forced to accept the fact that his mother committed suicide.

He meets a man whose son disappeared a few years ago. He claims that Samantha is in the same place as other children taken away by "migrants" – spirits who save the souls of children doomed to an unhappy life.

Children who are in danger from adults (for example, an attack by a serial maniac) disappear without a trace from their beds. One of their parents or close people at this moment loses control of his body and writes a note asking not to call the police. After some time, this person begins to see the ghost of the missing child, which may indicate that he died, despite the fact that the police never find the bodies of such children.

In the course of the plot, it turns out that children are abducted and "taken to a good place" by the spirits of other children who have already suffered from the same danger. People who see the ghosts of missing children say that they "live in the light of the stars."

In addition, in the tenth episode of the seventh season, the psychic sees the ghost of Mulder's recently deceased mother. She opens her mouth as if she is saying something, but there are no sounds. Soon the ghost disappears, after which Mulder finds a note with the address of an abandoned military base.
