Monday

"Monday" (English "Monday") - the fourteenth episode of the sixth season of the series "The X-Files". The episode belongs to the "monster of the week" type and is not related to the main "mythology" of the series set in the first series.

The world is trapped in a time loop, and only a woman named Pam knows about it. Every day, the events that occur are slightly different. Again and again, the woman's husband commits a bank robbery, and each time an explosion eventually occurs, in which dozens of people die. Mulder and Scully find themselves in the middle of the action.

A woman whose boyfriend is planning a bank robbery gets stuck in a time loop. Every day she experiences the same events, which culminate in a bomb explosion as a result of an unsuccessful robbery. A woman tries to change the course of events many times, but no matter what she does, everything ends the same way every time. The loop breaks only when the woman herself dies, while the explosion is prevented.

Interestingly, in addition to the main character, memories of previous iterations remain with other characters in the episode, and above all with Mulder. He remembers the events first in the form of deja vu, and then consciously.

The episode does not reveal the reasons for either the appearance of the loop or its disappearance.
