The ritual can be performed an unlimited number of times and at any age – however, the longer a person lives with the ability and the more often he turns into a panda, the stronger it becomes and the more difficult it is to get rid of it.

During the ritual to get rid of the ability to turn into a red panda, the girl (and then, according to the plot, all her relatives) gets into a parallel world in which the spirits of red pandas live, as well as the spirit of the ancestress of their kind.
