My Best Friend's Exorcism

"The exorcism of my best friend" (orig. My Best Friend's Exorcism is a 2022 American supernatural horror comedy film. The film is based on the book of the same name by author Grady Hendrix, released in 2020.

The 1980s. Best friends Abby and Gretchen and two other classmates go to the lake house for the weekend. A party, pizza, alcohol, acid – and now the girls go to see the sinister hut next door, where a strange case happens to them. Everything seems to be fine, but soon Abby notices that something is wrong with Gretchen.

During the exorcism session, the ghost of the priest's mother suddenly appears instead of the possessed girl. He is seen by both present in the room. The ghost talks to the priest, demoralizing him, and then disappears into the fire.

When using the Ouija board, the pointer moves spontaneously, folding the letters into the word "Mine", and the lamps in the room begin to flicker.

Later, the girl watches as her blanket slides off the bed and a moving something forms under it. When she pulls off the blanket, it turns out that there is nothing under it.

In the house of a girl possessed by a demon, an alarm goes off spontaneously, drowning out her screams.

A demon named Andras takes possession of a schoolgirl and subdues her body and will. At first, the girl retains her own consciousness: she constantly feels someone's gaze, can't wash, inflicts wounds on herself. She can't sleep: periodically someone strangles her, while she can't move. The girl's character changes, she becomes tense and sharp in communication, ceases to take care of herself.

Despite attempts to resist, soon the schoolgirl is completely at the mercy of the spirit. After that, her body is controlled by a demon who tries to harm everyone who is dear to her. The girl becomes beautiful and well-groomed again.

To exorcise the demon, the girlfriend of the possessed woman attracts a young priest who has the gift of recognizing such cases. With the help of the bible, salt and holy water, he forces the demon to manifest himself and give his name. When he shows himself, the girl's voice changes, and small horns become visible on her head.

A friend accidentally wounds the possessed with a red-hot poker, which apparently weakens the demon. Further, with the help of memories of what was dear to the possessed, the friend manages to extract the demon from her body. He turns out to be a short, hairless humanoid creature with a large head and several small horns. Finally, the demon can be defeated with the help of fire.
