October 18, 1964
Those who have interfered with the Tomb of Ra-Antef are in terrible danger. Against expert advice, American showman and financial backer of the expedition, Alexander King, plans a world tour exhibiting this magnificent discovery from the ancient world but on the opening night the sarcophagus is void of its contents. The mummy has escaped to fulfill the dreadful prophesy and exact a violent and bloody revenge on all those who defiled his final resting place.

Description

The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb is a 1964 British horror film, part of the classic Hammer studio horror film series. Despite the fact that the film is the second in a series dedicated to the curse of the mummy, its plot has nothing to do with the story told in the film "The Mummy", released in 1959.

Plot

Egypt, 1900. Three Egyptologists (Englishmen John Bray and Sir Giles Dalrymple, as well as French professor Eugene Dubois) discover the ancient mummy of Ra-Antef, the son of Ramesses VIII. Annette, an expert in Egyptology, the daughter of Professor Dubois and the bride of Bray, also participates in the expedition.

The sponsor of the expedition, the American showman Alexander King, takes all the discovered artifacts to London. He plans to recoup his investments by organizing sensational public exhibitions of Egyptian treasures. During the return to England on the ship, the expedition members meet the rich philanthropist Adam Beauchamp.

After arriving in England, the mummy comes to life and begins killing the expedition members one by one. It soon turns out that Adam Beauchamp is hiding secrets in his past related to a mysterious revived mummy.

The evil eye, curses and corruption

The youngest son of Ramesses VIII is forced to live forever because his father cursed him for the murders of his own brother, Ra–Antef. He can only die as a result of retribution, and in order to save himself from the suffering of immortality, he is forced to revive his brother's mummy in the hope that he will kill him.

The appearance of the cursed does not change and, apparently, corresponds to the age at which the curse was imposed. At the same time, he is not invulnerable and can receive injuries and injuries.

Zombies

The revived dead man here is the mummy of Ra-Antef, the son of Ramesses VIII, revived with the help of a spell inscribed on the medallion of life. The mummy has free will, moves independently, is able to appreciate the beauty of a woman (and abandon the intention to kill her). The mummy has great physical strength, but moves quite slowly.
