Not of This Earth

"An alien from another planet" (orig. "Not of This Earth", other translations - "Not from this Earth", "Sinister Aliens") is a 1995 American film that was part of the series "Roger Corman's Gifts" on the Showtime channel. This is a remake of Corman's 1957 film Not From This Planet.

The plot of the film repeats the original story with minor changes: an invader from outer space arrives on Earth to collect the blood of people and send it to his war-torn planet to save the lives of his fellow tribesmen.

An alien arrives on Earth with a mission to collect human blood and "vital energy" and send them to his home planet for transfusion to his tribesmen. The alien planet's population is slowly dying out. To survive, aliens need frequent (every 12 hours) blood transfusions. If the alien mission is successful, the aliens plan to colonize the Earth.

The alien is dressed in a strict suit and sunglasses hiding his glowing eyes. So do other aliens sent to Earth, including women. The alien goes everywhere with a suitcase, with the help of the contents of which he pumps blood and "vital energy" from people, which is a neon green liquid.

The alien can control people's thoughts, telepathically communicate with them and control their actions, completely suppressing their will. He can mentally communicate with other aliens (although to communicate with an alien on another planet, he needs to use a special device that combines the functions of a teleporter and means of communication). To use the device, another alien being is required, which is a shapeless mass with tentacles that entangle the alien during a communication session.

The alien does not like harsh sounds, although he does not lose his composure from them, as in the original picture. Taking off his glasses, he is able to set fire to and explode objects with the help of plasma clots escaping from his eyes. In this way, he is able to completely ignite a person or burn out his eyes.

The alien does not eat terrestrial food, but eats alien creatures, absorbing them with a mouth located on the stomach. After such a meal, he spews black liquid from his mouth.

The alien possesses a kind of alien flying creature, similar to a glowing stingray, which he releases to eliminate one of the characters in the film.
