Description

A mysterious creature that is said to be hiding in the California desert. It has been described to have two shortening or telescoping legs and a kangaroo-like tail, which it uses to balance while aiming. However, four-legged varieties of tripodero have also been spotted in Texas. They don't have a long tail, and they look more like pigs. The body of the tripodero is small but sturdy, and the head consists almost entirely of a muzzle.

The Tripodero inhabits dense shrubs and undergrowth, hunting birds and other small animals, which are its main food source. Upon seeing the prey, the tripodero slowly stretches its legs, thereby lifting the body above the bushes. When he has direct visibility, the Tripodero then shoots a ball of dirt (which he stores in his left cheek) from his blowgun-like muzzle, after which the prey is stunned and the Tripodero can eat it. The Tripodero is a deadly creature of extreme precision and calculation that rarely misses.

When its legs are not stretched out, the tripodero can move quite quickly and unnoticeably through the bushes, although other forest creatures still easily overtake it. Despite the fact that the Tripodero is faster than it is, a natural firearm proves to be an excellent counterweight to its potential prey. With outstretched legs, a tripodero can be a very dangerous predator. Hiding behind bushes, he can easily spot potential prey.
