In Mansi mythology, guardian spirits and ancestral spirits. They were sent by Numitorum to earth to help people, instead they began to destroy people, for which they were imprisoned in a dungeon, in the underworld - turned into kulaks.

Pups live in fetishes, specially made objects or idols, as well as in stones, trees, etc. Whole sets of such fetishes were kept in special containers, sacred chests of the Hunts and Mansi.

They helped in hunting, home protection, protection from diseases.
