Yeonpyeongdo Island

In 1950, the area where the island is located was subjected to countless bombings and was the site of several armed clashes between the two countries. In 2010, artillery shelling by the DPRK forced the inhabitants of the island to temporarily leave their homes and hide in special bunkers.

Locals believe that many lost souls with not the best intentions live on the island.
