Before the revolution, this building had a rather bad reputation. The fact is that there was a brothel here. His caretaker was a dwarf who loved a girl working in this house very much. Naturally, his love remained unrequited. 

And in 1917, the owners of the new life, Red Army soldiers or other representatives of the new government, somehow visited this brothel. They raped and killed the very girl the dwarf loved so much. He could not help her in any way and ... could not find anything better for himself than to leave life. 

There is a local landmark in the dormitory building — the room where the dwarf hanged himself. Well, no one would remember this story if strange things were not happening in the building of the institute and the dormitory. According to many testimonies, strange footsteps, knocks, rustles are often heard at night in the hostel. The source of these sounds, with the great desire of students, no one can explain. 

And one day a scream was heard in one of the dorm rooms. People who came there saw a student lying unconscious, who even had an ambulance called. Later, she said that she saw him walking down the corridor, looking for his beloved.
