The Witch Tree

The witch tree is an unusual branch that is more than three hundred years old. It is located between the villages of Skripitsyno and Cherkassk in the Kolyshlei district.

Local legend claims that it was here that members of a secret satanic sect gathered in the 18th century to hold sabbaths. 
Until now, local residents try not to pass by the tree at night, allegedly there are moans and screams of some woman.

In 2007, next to the seven-domed temple, a camera ("soap dish") recorded mass objects in the form of balls that soared into the sky. Children at night heard chanting and unknown voices there repeatedly.
