Thunderstones

Not far from the village of Assi, on the right bank of the Yurmash River, Beloretsky district, there are blocks of reddish color - the so-called "thunder stones". There is a belief that if you hit these stones with something or just touch them, a thunderstorm will begin. To prevent people and grazing cattle from touching them, the stones are surrounded by a dense fence.

Perhaps this is an echo of the distant cult of the God of Thunderstorms, which says that if you approach and touch these boulders, a thunderstorm will immediately break out as a punishment for the blasphemer.
