St. Lawrence Cemetery

Near Birgu there is a cemetery of St. Lawrence, where a ghost is noticed. According to legend:

Irlansky Catholic Thomas McSweeney has been resting in one of the graves of the cemetery for 175 years. When this sailor was 23 years old, he was convicted and hanged by a military tribunal for the murder of a corporal with whom the guy sailed on the same ship. The execution was public. She was watched by people gathered on other ships around the one on which he served, killed a colleague and was hanged himself.
