The Road to Nowhere

улица Бурденко, Воронеж, Voronezhskaya oblast', Russian Federation

Description

"The Road to Nowhere" is the unofficial name of the overpass in Voronezh. It was given to the road because of the protracted period (about 10 years) of commissioning of the finished object in connection with the problem of resettlement of residents of private houses, through the territory of which a new transport highway was to pass. It passes from the Northern Bridge and turns into Burdenko Street. It was opened on November 18, 2003.

During the period when it was not completed, people began to talk about the "road to nowhere" with a mystical connotation – people suddenly began to disappear irretrievably on the overpass. There were rumors that the road was actually an overpass to... other worlds.

Our comments

Many band members have been to this interchange at different times of its construction. The view was really interesting, even during the day - life is boiling all around, and this road is absolutely empty towering over the park.

A member of the group with a nickname Regis wrote in a comment to an article about the anomalous places of Voronezh his observation of a ghost on this road during its construction:

I was riding a bike there myself a long time ago and saw a ghost. I'm going at night, I decided to cut across the bridge. Somewhere in the middle of the way, I began to notice that someone was looming in the headlights. It looked like the man was standing. And I'm going ahead, but he's still standing at the edge of the world. I stopped, shone the light there, and there was no one there.
