Reshel Castle

Замок Решель, Poland

Description

In 1807 there was a terrible fire in the old town. The authorities accused a maid named Barbara Zdunk of arson. She was arrested and held for three years in the dungeons of the Reschel Castle. There she was regularly abused and gave birth to two children, the fate of which is unknown.

Barbara Zdunk was burned at the stake in 1811, and she became the last person in Europe to be burned on charges of witchcraft.
Today, there is an art hotel in the castle of Reschel, and hotel guests are constantly talking about strange sounds, sighs and steps. And although representatives of Ghost Hunters International, who visited the castle, denied the presence of supernatural forces in it, nevertheless, they find even more alarming signs in the nearby river Sayna.

Here is the entrance to the dungeon, from where moans and screams are heard.
