Old Orthodox church in Khroshchina

Parafia Świętych Apostołów Piotra i Pawła w Chróścinie, Chróścina, gmina Dąbrowa, Опольский повят, 46-073, Poland

Description

The old Orthodox church in Khroscin, apparently, is haunted by the ghost of a little boy - the son of the former owners. The ghost appears behind the church in the cemetery and, according to beliefs, asks about his parents.

The old Orthodox church in Khroscin, dedicated to St. George the Victorious, is a place that sends shivers down your spine. This building is located on the border of Lodz and Opole voivodeships. The sight of this decaying building is terrifying.

Next to the church is a cemetery, and it is here, according to legend, that the ghost of the boy appears. This is the ghost of a little boy dressed in an old-fashioned costume. His story is very sad. He was the son of the owners of the nearby castle, which was turned into a nursing home. There were dark rumors surrounding this institution - suspicion that the high mortality rate was no simple coincidence. The son of the owners often played near the church and one day drowned in a swamp. He and his parents were buried in the cemetery behind the church.

There were no ghosts in this place until the 1990s, when the bodies of the little boy's parents were exhumed. After that, he began to appear at night, some even say he asked about his parents.
