Oil Square

In Tambov, you will not see a sign with the inscription "Oil Square": now it is the territory of the Central Market, surrounded by dilapidated commercial buildings characteristic of the old city. At the beginning of the XIX century, a market and a church were founded here, where the mystic and Mason merchant Anosov built the first shopping malls. On the outskirts of the market, "dashing people" began to settle - runaway convicts, criminals, robbers and robbers. 

They were regular customers of the Lipuntsy tavern, in the walls of which there were wild revelries and quarrels broke out, often ending in stabbings and murders. 

Ghosts, phantoms and chronomirages of those events are regularly observed.
