There was once a cemetery on the site of the Ussuri MZhK, with which, according to old-timers, one terrible story is connected. Even before the revolution, a rich merchant lived in Nikolsk-Ussuriysk. One day he died, and, as it should be, he was buried with honors in this cemetery.

But the next night the watchman heard a grinding sound coming from the grave. The grave was opened, the coffin was opened and found that the corpse was lying on his stomach, and his face was distorted by a grimace of horror. "Buried alive," the doctors stated, and a rumor went around the city that the merchant was a sorcerer.

After that, outrages began in the cemetery: someone at night scared the dogs with inhuman howls. People were forbidden to go to the cemetery. And soon the churchyard was decayed, and after a while the tombstones were demolished and a modern factory was built here.

But the mysterious incidents did not stop. Sometimes local residents suddenly have dishes falling from the shelves in their houses, unknown faces look at them from the mirrors, and at night screams and trampling are heard…
