Makarinskaya grove

There are rumors in Cherepovets about the so-called "spirit of the chekist", which, according to eyewitnesses, appears in the Makarinskaya grove, in the Zarechensky district of Cherepovets.

In the 30-40s, the 2nd zonal polyclinic of the NKVD was located at this place, where prisoners were treated. Once, during the escape, the prisoners killed one worker of the Cheka, whose spirit, according to rumors, wanders among the birches of the Makarinskaya grove.
