Lake of the village of Kommunar

In the Belovsky district of the Kursk region, residents of the village of Kommunar and those closest to it tell about some cases of meeting with evil spirits.

Just a few years ago, one of the locals happened to return home at dusk. On the way, he was overtaken by a cart with two unfamiliar peasants who offered to take the traveler. Although there was nothing left to walk, the villager agreed. According to his expectations, in at most five to ten minutes he should have reached home, but about half an hour passed, and the cart, which was traveling fast enough, did not seem to budge. The surroundings were the same. The man asked to put him down, but the companions engaged in conversation did not seem to hear. Then kuryanin decided to jump off on the move, but instead of a primer, there was water under his feet. The man was in the middle of the river, and the mysterious cart seemed to melt into thin air. The man managed to swim out, as well as get to his home an hour later.

Similar jokes have been made more than once by local watermen with other residents. 

And old-timers warn at all: once you are near a reservoir, do not accept food and water from strangers, evil spirits can also bring treats. If you reach for a glass, you will find yourself in a pond or lake, full of dirty water.
