Lake of Spirits

It is located on the edge of the Kara-Oyuk Valley at an altitude of 2550 meters. The lake is considered the most sacred in the area and is protected by local spirits. Altaians are afraid to appear in these places, and believe that only pure-hearted and sinless people can come here.

The lake is located on the same line with the top of Belukha, and forms a kind of portal connecting two worlds, the physical and the spirit world.
