Kurgan City

The city of Kurgan was built near the burial of the daughter of the mythical Khan Kadyr, which gave the name to this area. Possessing the untold riches of the Golden Horde, a loving father put a fortune in the grave of his beautiful daughter, the remains of which are still being sought by historians and "black diggers".

It is said that centuries later, the disturbed spirit of this ancient Tatar princess, fleeing from robbers, disappeared into the Chukhloma Lake.
