The hut under the Abaza

Абаза, Khakasiya, Respublika, Russian Federation

Description

On one of the trails leading from Abaza to the depths of the Sayan Mountains, a story happened a long time ago, the echoes of which are still heard by some. At least that's what the locals say.

There in the wilderness, in a hut specially built for passing and passing, escaped convicts brutally dealt with a merchant and his daughter, who sold salt, needles, axes and knives. According to one version, the robbers killed and robbed both, and the corpses were dismembered and thrown into the forest to be devoured by animals.

According to another, they killed the father, and tied up the daughter and, leaving, everyone laughed at her - they say, give more salt! And then they untied it and left. The girl went crazy from the experience and died of hunger. They say that now everyone who stops at that place sees the merchant's daughter in the flames of the fire, who stretches out her hand to the sitting person and asks "Give me salt!". And you can only run away from this hand, otherwise — trouble.
