House-ship

About the House-ship built in 1901 by a captain longing for the sea, this house seems to rip open the slow flow of Buinaksky Street with its nose, letting Emirov Street on the starboard side. And inside the house everything is arranged strangely. Not apartments, but some cabins, ladders everywhere and a common internal covered gallery, similar to a deck.

They say that back in the early 70s, you could meet a ghost there. The sleepy tenants who got up for some need in the middle of the night allegedly saw a female figure floating along the corridors, going up and down stairs, going out to the "deck" where the laundry was drying, and pacing between the sheets, men's shirts and children's tights. And then she dropped the handkerchief down, went down for it and disappeared. And there were no traces left, except that the laundry, despite the summer heat, did not dry out overnight.
