House of Riddles

An old red brick tower stands on a hill near the right bank of the Amur River. The old tower by its very appearance can frighten a person entering the city for the first time. This gloomy, abandoned building in itself is depressing and even alarming. In addition, the townspeople have made a real legend out of the old house. Experts of local myths say that the soul of the architect - the builder of the tower - is immured in the catacombs of the old house.
