Gin Cemetery

Кладбище, Чабахар, Islamic Republic of Iran

Description

An unknown cemetery with numerous tombstones is located in the southeastern part of Iran. The locals of Baluchestan and Sisitan called this cemetery "the cemetery of Genies". It is located not far from the village of Tis and the city of Chabahar in Sistan and the province of Baluchistan.

Locals believe that graves are not a place of burial of people. Grave graves are dug along a rocky surface, as it is known that on a rocky surface, it is very difficult for an ordinary person to dig a grave, hence the question arose: Why did they choose a rock stone for the burial of the dead, when it was possible to do it in damp soil?

What tools were used to dig the graves, but it's not easy? In response to these questions, no one will give you an answer.

What faith the deceased were, no one can say, since the burial does not relate to any of the faiths in Iran, according to legend, the inhabitants of an unknown village were genies and buried the dead on a ledge near the rocks, in order to always visit them at night, it was believed that anyone who passes through the cemetery at night will be cursed by the genies and in a few days will die of cruel torment.

The cemetery is located on a low hill overlooking the village of Tisan at the foot of Pilbang Mountain.
