The forest near the sanatorium named after Tsyurupa

Санаторий имени Цюрупы, Voronezhskaya oblast', Russian Federation

Description

The sanatorium was founded in 1927. It is located in the estate of the tsarist general, member of the State Duma Alexander Zvegintsov.

When the Bolsheviks requisitioned the estate, no valuables were found in the house. They began to torture the housekeeper who remained in the house, who was the general's mistress, but she did not tell anything. In anger, one of the commissars cut off the woman's head.

Since then, her ghost has been wandering through the forest in the vicinity of the sanatorium, carrying a severed head under her arm, and guarding the general's treasures.

Rumor has it that a ghost can be heard rattling chains and moaning in the forest, and some have also seen an inexplicable glow in the forest.
