The house, which celebrated its centenary this year, was inhabited by ghosts — if you believe the residents, of course. The legendary building is similar to the castles of medieval Europe. The history of the owners of the house is amazing. More than a century ago, a successful businessman Alexander Yakovlevich with the Swiss surname Duringer arrived in our city from Moscow as a representative of the capital firm "Gandshin and Co.", engaged in the development of dyes for the textile industry. He and his wife Olga Trofimovna did not live in the house for so long. The woman took her own life, unable to withstand the endless infidelities of her husband, who at that time was chasing a socialite from the capital. The deceived wife is allegedly seen now in the windows of the house. After the death of his wife, Duringer fell ill with smallpox and disappeared into a small turret room. Maybe his spirit appears to the residents of the Ivanovo castle?

But they say that dyes for fabrics were stored in the basements of the house, and it is in their vapors that it is quite possible to see the reason for the imagined ghosts.
