The devil 's hillfort

Chertovo gorodishche is a tract on the bank of the Chertovskaya River near the city Kozelsk in Kaluga region. It is located on the territory of the Ugra National Park. Folk imagination inhabits this mysterious place with spirits. There is a local legend about a devil in love with a peasant's daughter, as well as stories about ghost sightings.

Locals say that they have seen glowing objects, unexplained atmospheric phenomena here, and even cases of chronoanomalia have been recorded!
