Damn pit

The devil's pit in the Aukstadvaris area, which is located in the forest between two lakes. It is oval in shape, 60 meters in diameter, 40 meters deep plus 9 meters of peat at the very bottom.

It is believed that the Devil's Pit and its surroundings have a psychophysical effect on people watching. It can be divided into two parts — northern and southern. The first is characterized by psychophysical comfort, causes pleasant, uplifting sensations, while the second is depression, fatigue, sullenness. It has also been noticed that in sensitive people, a long stay in this zone causes an upset of the body and even diseases of the respiratory tract, digestive organs.
