The cursed house

The so-called Cursed House, listed on Kommunalnaya Street, was destroyed by fire during World War II. But at the beginning of the XIX century, it was rented by a visiting Prince Shevardnadze, who was fond of the works of warlocks.

Tambov old-timers said that one of the prince's lackeys, having found out about a magic book, also wanted to master the techniques of witchcraft and stole the composition from the master when he went for a walk. The owner, not finding the book, hanged himself with a string. The fate of the subsequent tenants of the house also ended tragically. There were stories among the people about a colonel who had strangled himself because of an unhappy love and the family of an official who had taken his own life.

Now in place of the cursed house is the House of life "Rus".
