In the city registry office and the Republican Union of Architects, which are located in the old mansion of the spouses of the Castle, ghosts are treated no less seriously than in the museum.

Merchant Zamkovoy came to Vladikavkaz at the beginning of the twentieth century to realize the dream of his own house. But he couldn't buy a house right away: housing prices in the city suddenly jumped. Then the couple left for Grozny. And quite by chance they bought a plot of land where they found oil. This was the beginning of a short successful period in the life of the family. Returning to Vladikavkaz, they also accidentally met the famous architect Vladimir Grozmani at the skating rink. A friendship was formed, and Grozmani designed a mansion for the couple, which until today is considered an ornament of Vladikavkaz.

But the wealth that fell on the Castle led them to tragedy. At night, a thief got into the house, coveted the shares of the head of the family. It was a local resident, Lieutenant Colonel Makaev. The owner of the house noticed a sneaking intruder - and he killed the Castle right in his office, took the body and threw it into the Terek… The next morning Makayev was arrested.
 
Years later, when the mansion was occupied by the NKVD, a man, an employee of the department, was killed again in the same office.

And, according to legend, the spirit of the murdered man joined the spirit of the Castle and they wander around the building together…

Employees of the Registry Office and the Union of Architects of the Republic do not like to talk about their ghosts. But the few residents of the house, whose apartment is located in the courtyard of the mansion, claim that they have been disturbed for many years not by ghosts, but by hunters for them.
