Brissac Castle

Brissac Castle, located in the Loire Valley in France.

It was the scene of a horrific double murder. One quiet French evening, Jacques de Brez found his wife Charlotte in the arms of a lover right in the castle. Without understanding, Jacques killed them both. Legend has it that since then the unhappy couple of lovers have never left the castle, and their ghosts roam it to this day.

It is said that after the murder, Jacques immediately sold the castle, as he was terribly afraid of ghosts.
