Antoniev Caves

Antoniev caves (Chernihiv) they were considered a holy place in pre- Christian times - they worshipped here Perun and the sacred oak grove grew. Then Christians came to the caves for solitude and prayers.

One of the legends says that during the raid, the Tatars chased the monks through the underground corridors, but they seemed to disappear into thin air.
