Akterkin ponds

Television lands in the capital are considered harmful because of the electromagnetic radiation of many antennas. But the power here lies more ancient and less accessible to understanding. The old Ostankovo was a pagan, demonic place, that's why they arranged a cemetery for suicides here - hence the name. Later, the Counts Sheremetevs built a manor house and a home theater here. Serf actresses did not live cheerfully: they were sick with consumption, they were flogged, and in the end many drowned in the local ponds, which were nicknamed "akterkin".

Now there is a residential high-rise on the bones of the drowned women, and a small TV center building on the ancient churchyard. They say that for hundreds of years before misfortunes and catastrophes, an old woman appears with a stick: either she predicts the death of Countess Sheremeteva, or a fire in the tower.
